Jacky Habib - Freelance Journalist and Communications Consultant
Jacky is a freelance journalist and communications consultant based between Nairobi and Toronto. Her work focuses on humanitarian issues, social justice, and women’s rights and has been published by NPR, CBC, Toronto Star, The CS Monitor, and many others. She has reported from a dozen African countries on issues including Ethiopia's famine, Uganda's refugee policy, and the state of emergency concerning sexual violence in Sierra Leone.
Consulting highlights
As a consultant, Jacky supports organizations with media training, multimedia storytelling, and advocacy campaigns. Her clients include CARE USA, ActionAid UK, the Mastercard Foundation, and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

A fun fact about Jacky
She was once a semi-finalist in a lip-syncing competition, but given another chance, we are confident she would win the top spot ;)
